Adult Sunday School Classes Arab First United Methodist Church provides Sunday School classes for all ages to aid your spiritual growth in Christ through Bible study and interaction with other people. These classes welcome everyone and strive to create a Holy and comfortable atmosphere to grow in Christ, to read and study His word and to face the work week with a thankful spirit. Adult Wednesday Night Classes During the school year, classes of interest are offered on Wednesday nights from 545 to 645 pm (times coincide with children's activities held during the school year.) See the adult education page for specific studies offered.

The Young In Heart are married, single persons 50 +. All are welcome!

This group of Christians meet once a month and have fun, fellowship and exciting programs or trips. Membership is $15 per year and you are sure to "get your monies worth!". Contact the church office for further details 256-586-5792. See the Young in Heart Calendar.

Men's Ministry

All men are invited and encouraged to be a part of the United Methodist Men's group. Methodist Men meet one Sunday morning a month, location in Fellowship Hall unless announced otherwise.

Women's Ministry

With a membership of over 100+, the United Methodist Women's group centers on missions, locally as well as around the world. The organization is open to all women, members or non-members. Other functions include hosting various church functions, meeting needs of the church family through Care & Concern groups as well as being involved with district and conference activities.

The United Methodist Women have their cookbook "Recipes and Remberances" available as a fund raiser for missions. Our cookbook contains 550 recipes from some of the world's best cooks, our church family.

The cover displays the beautiful stained glass window that adorns the sanctuary of our church. The window reminds us of Jesus calling us like children to come to Him. Each of the eight dividers depicts the history of the church through blessings, pictures and historical information. Several recipes from our cookbooks were selected to be in the Best of the Best of Alabama Cookbook.

The women of Arab First United Methodist Church prayed over this cookbook many times during the years of preparation. We hope you enjoy the
recipes, the pictures and history of our church but most importantly we hope you feel the blessings.

"Recipes and Remembrances " can be purchased through the church office for $16.00 or you may order by mail for $19.00 (includes shipping/handling). Please make your check payable to Arab UMW or First United Methodist Women.
